Made for Broward Weather
Salt air does not care whose name is printed on the membrane roll. Along the three miles of beach in Pompano Beach, FL, and out toward the Hillsboro Inlet, metal edges, fasteners and rooftop equipment corrode faster than they do a few miles inland, and the afternoon storm hits every brand with the same water. What changes from one manufacturer to the next is how the system is built: the seams, the flashings, the attachment pattern, the accessories that finish the edges. We install and repair a range of the major commercial systems, and we pay attention to those details because the maker's instructions are what a good installation is measured against.

Learn MoreSingle-Ply Names: membranes for flat and low-slope roofs
Carlisle is known for its Sure-Weld TPO, and its sister brand Versico sells a competing TPO line. GAF builds its commercial business on TPO and other low-slope systems. Holcim Elevate is the name behind the Firestone UltraPly line, and Johns Manville makes single-ply sheets as well as asphalt-based roofing. Each of these has its own detailing rules, and following them is how a roof earns the system warranty that goes with it.
PVC and Liquid-Applied: harder chemistry for harder jobs
Sika Sarnafil makes PVC sheets that stand up well to fats, oils and rooftop exhaust, and Duro-Last supplies prefabricated PVC sheets cut to the roof's measurements so there are fewer field seams to fail. Soprema is known for liquid-applied flashing resins such as its Alsan line and with modified bitumen. These are choices that matter at details, curbs and penetrations, which is where most leaks begin.
Hurricane Zone Paperwork: approvals before installation
In Broward's High-Velocity Hurricane Zone, a product is not usable just because a manufacturer sells it. Each exterior roofing component needs a current Miami-Dade product approval, which rests on missile-impact, cyclic-pressure and water-after-impact testing, and the roof is designed for 170 mph winds on ordinary Risk Category II buildings. We check the approval before we specify anything, since a missing document can hold up a permit on a project in the A1A Ocean Boulevard Corridor area or a warehouse off Powerline Road.
Roofs Already in Place: working with what is installed
Usually the roof is already on the building and its maker is already printed somewhere on the paperwork. We identify the system, match compatible repair materials and keep the details that protect any existing warranty in mind. That matters most when a roof has seen one storm too many and needs patching before the next.
Questions We Hear Often
Do you only work on one brand?
No. We work on roofs from several manufacturers, and the first step on a repair is identifying what is on the building so the repair materials are compatible with the existing system.
Will a repair affect my manufacturer warranty?
It can if the repair is done with the wrong materials or by someone the terms do not allow. Check the warranty terms before work starts and send them to us, so the repair follows the same rules as the roof.
Can you repair a roof if the warranty has expired?
Yes. We identify the membrane and existing assembly, check material compatibility, and write a repair scope around the roof’s actual condition.
Do manufacturers use the same repair details?
No. Seam methods, primers, flashing materials and fastening details vary by system, so we confirm the installed product before specifying a repair.
